So you have made a smart decision to take more care about yourself and have regular physical training sessions. You have found the perfect trainer to walk the walk with you and now it’s time to identify the best spot. Should it be park, your apartment or a private studio? Let’s analyze the pros and cons of each!
Physical Training Sessions at Parks
So you want to get outside to do your sport chores. Awesome! There are numerous pros to that:
Most outdoor workouts are free: running, cycling, yoga, fitness etc. You just need to find the best route or spot to lay down your mat and get things cracking.
As recent research shows outdoor workouts boost your self-esteem and your mood.
You get your free intake of vitamin D.
You can exercise at different types of terrain that helps you train your body more effectively without getting bored.
Now to the cons, there are still some, for instance, the weather. It’s not much fun to run under the pouring rain or through the snowy paths.
Next, your training sessions might be not as effective as you’d like to as you are developing them yourself. If you have a specific fitness goal in mind, the DIY approach may not be the best.
Physical Training Sessions at Home
There are days when the gym seems like one huge irritation. After a long day at work you just don’t feel like being around people anymore. You don’t want those quick chats, you don’t want to catch anyone stares. You just want to focus on your physical training session.
The good news is – you can still have a killer workout at home!
Ask your trainer to map out a home training program for you that can serve as an additional booster to your gym training. Considering you don’t have much equipment or time, stick to the simple, yet highly effective exercises like pike push ups; resistance band chest press, planks, crunches and more.
A good home workout program should look like this:
- Warmup (3-4 minutes)
- An aerobic workout (up to 10 minutes)
- Strength-building exercises (up to 10 minutes)
- Flexibility moves. (5-7 minutes)
- A cooldown (2-3 minutes)
Physical Training sessions at Private Studios
Last, but not least, comes the luxury of renting a private studio for your training needs.
The pros? Having the room and equipment to do your standard physical training program with no destructions and at the pace you choose.
The cons? A somewhat hefty price tag, that absolutely pays off if you are aiming at getting the best results.
